In short
- Together.Tasks is a shared task list. What you add to a pod is visible to everyone in that pod.
- Your content stays yours. You give us permission only to store, show, and process it to run the app.
- Be decent: no illegal content, harassment, or abusing the service.
- Tuffy, our AI assistant, can be wrong. Check anything important.
- The app is provided as-is, and it is free in its current form.
- You can stop using it and delete your account any time.
01Agreeing to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Tyche Apps ("we", "us") covering your use of the Together.Tasks Android app and its related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old (or older if your country sets a higher age for consenting to online services) to use Together.Tasks. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you should have a parent or guardian's permission.
02Your account
Sign in with Google; keep it to yourself.
You sign in with Google Sign-In. You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your Google account secure. Give us accurate information, don't impersonate anyone, and don't share your account with others. Tell us promptly at tyche.apps@gmail.com if you think someone else has gained access to it.
03Pods & shared content
A pod is a shared space. Anything you put in it, everyone in it can see.
A pod is a group that shares a task list. Everything you add to a pod (tasks, checklists, notes, locations, links, comments, reactions, and attachments, along with your name and profile photo) is visible to every member of that pod. Only add people you trust, and only share invite codes with people you want in your pod.
Pod members can view, edit, complete, or delete shared content, so what you add may be changed or removed by others. Disputes between pod members are between those members; we aren't responsible for how members treat each other or each other's content.
If you leave a pod, content you added may remain with the pod for the remaining members, as described in our Privacy Policy.
04Your content
You own it. We just need permission to run the app with it.
You keep ownership of everything you put into the Service ("Your Content"). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and process Your Content solely as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service, including showing it to the members of your pods and sending it to the providers described in our Privacy Policy. This licence ends when Your Content is deleted from the Service, apart from routine backups and content that remains in a pod for other members as described above.
You promise that you have the rights to what you add, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights or break the law.
05Acceptable use
Please don't use the Service to:
- break any law, or store or share illegal content, including content that sexually exploits minors;
- harass, threaten, defame, or abuse other people, or share someone's private information without permission;
- upload malware, or try to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure;
- scrape, reverse engineer, or automate access to the Service in ways we haven't allowed, except as permitted by law or by open-source licences that apply to parts of the app;
- abuse the AI features, for example by generating large volumes of requests or trying to bypass usage limits or safeguards;
- send spam, or use the Service for advertising or mass messaging;
- store sensitive data the Service isn't designed for, such as payment card numbers, government IDs, or passwords.
We may remove content or restrict accounts that break these rules or put the Service or other people at risk.
06Tuffy & AI features
Helpful, not infallible.
Tuffy, our AI assistant, generates suggestions such as recipes, nearby places, and task details. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or unsuitable for you. That includes things like allergens or dietary needs in recipes, opening hours, addresses, and the safety of a location. You're responsible for checking anything that matters before relying on it, and nothing Tuffy says is professional (medical, legal, financial, or safety) advice.
AI features are subject to fair-use limits that we may set and change to keep the Service sustainable, and may be limited or unavailable at times. When you use them, the relevant content is processed by the providers described in our Privacy Policy.
07Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties such as Google (sign-in, Firebase, Google Cloud, Vertex AI, and Places) and OpenStreetMap, and lets you add links to websites we don't control. Your use of those services and sites may be subject to their own terms. We aren't responsible for third-party services, or for the content of linked pages or link previews.
08Changes & availability
Together.Tasks is currently provided free of charge. We may add, change, or remove features, introduce paid features, or discontinue the Service, and will try to give reasonable notice of anything significant. We don't guarantee the Service will always be available or error-free, and we may pause it for maintenance or because of outside events. Please keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
09Ending your use
You can stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms, if needed to protect the Service or other people, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as content licences that apply to shared content, disclaimers, limits of liability, and governing law) continue after your access ends.
10Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
We don't promise that the Service will meet your needs, be uninterrupted or secure, or that content and AI output will be accurate or reliable. Together.Tasks is a convenience tool: don't rely on it as your only means of tracking time-critical, safety-critical, or medical matters.
11Limit of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tyche Apps won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (currently zero) or US$50.
You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from Your Content or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
12Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in California, except that if you're a consumer, you keep any right to bring claims in your local courts and to the protection of mandatory consumer laws where you live.
13Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the effective date above and let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after the change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree, you can stop using the Service and delete your account.
